3/29/23 Today, while we were in QUEST we used onion, and cheek samples, and putting them on microscopes and looking at the cells. We somehow did a cheek sample by using a toothpick and rubbing it in our mouths, then putting it on slides. We did an onion sample by peeling a thin layer of the inside off, and sticking it on a slide. Also, Rose presented a Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets as Book Consultant. Good job Rose! Our Latin Stem was dyna meaning power.
3/22/23 Today in Quest, we started off with book consultant. Sam Shain shared his book that he was reviewing called "Dog Squad". Personally, I liked it. Next, we did our final latin root. The latin root was Super/Sur. After that, we continued our mission to find the person who stole the mascot by using microscopes. All of us completed the mission. Then, we prepared for the next Quest, where we would be examining other specimens in the microscope, by doing a model of it. Finally, we ended the day by listening to "Gregor The Overlander".
Sam Auletta and Sebastian Brewer
3/15/23 Today in QUEST we focused on learning about microscopes and how to use them. The latin root was "terr." The book consultant for today was Kevin and he talked about the book "Captain Underpants." After he was finished, we watched a video about the different types of microscopes and the importance of safety when handling them. We wrote about what we learned from the video and our peers added facts that we missed. Finally, we were put on a mission to find who stole a mascot. We looked through microscopes at different substances and we wrote about what we saw. Mrs. Mcelhinney. read Gregor The Overlander and we packed up and headed back to school.

3/8/23 Today's morning was peaceful, we finished up our main idea and connections of the article of Malala. Also, our book consultant, Ellie Gifford, shared an amazing book called Frizzy, by Claribel A. Ortega. It was about a girl who hates getting her hair straight because then she can't play with her friends. Any stroke of heat or sweat would make the girl's hair frizzy and curly. She goes through a lot of drama with hair. Additionally, we did Socratic Seminar, including a topic about changemakers. Also including perspective questions, questions that could matter based on opinion and POV. Everybody can make a change! We expressed ourselves using symbols, images and colors. I can't wait to experience more of QUEST. Signing of with the OreQUESTians,
-- Haotian Luo
3/1/23 Today in Q.U.E.S.T, we started out by having a peaceful morning. Then Stella shared her book: Because of the Rabbit for book consultant. After that, we had our roots of the day: Manu- and Lev-. Because our Secratic Seminar is next week/class, we read a article of our choice and then we answered some questions about the passage to help us with out Seminar. We spent about 1 hour on that and then, at 10:10, we learned about... MICROSCOPES!!!!!!!! Finally, we did some 5 clues/cards. In conclusion, today at Q.U.E.S.T, was not the most enjoyable day for our hands, but it was fun for our heads. :)

2/1/23 Today, we shared presentations of our change-makers, which were entertaining scripts with information. An informational script! As well as a slide that concludes the other facts on our biography-script. We got to experience taking a look and turning the camera, as well as switching the slides! The presentations were amazing, it only felt like a jiffy when the presentations passed. We thought that we wouldn't complete all our slides, but as we passed time, a succession of management got the deal! So let's call it a well done day!
That is all I'm listing! Thank you! - Haotian Luo
