The QUEST Program is a specialized enrichment class tailored for gifted and talented fourth and fifth-grade students who demonstrate advanced abstract reasoning, a rapid learning pace, and innovative thinking. Operating as a half-day, stand-alone program once per week, QUEST utilizes an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary approach to supplement and elaborate upon the fourth and fifth grade standards of learning. By engaging in hands-on, project-based units of study, students are given the opportunity to meet and exceed challenging academic standards in an environment that prioritizes critical and creative exploration. The identification process for this high-level program begins in the third grade, where all students participate in the CogAT Screener to evaluate their potential for this rigorous and depth-oriented learning experience.
