9/17 - We told about ourselves and used listening patiently to hear about our classmates. We started the read aloud, The Book of Three. We learned all about Mrs. McElhinney. We learned all about our daily schedule, especially lunch.
9/24/21- At the beginning of the day job's where assigned. Then we read for 15 Min. Then we talked about managing impulsivity. After that we talked about system's and watched Zoom by Istvan Banyai.
Finally we talked about systems again and read The Book of Three.

10/1/21 Today we made a lot of progress in our systems doc and we talked a lot about systems with our partners.We also read chapter two of The Book of Three and we met a new character called Gwydion. My prediction for chapter three is that Taran will find Hen Wen but then encounter the Horned King. We also did a little of the "Engage!" doc and we talked about what we saw in one of the pictures. We also did all of the jobs like the book consultant and we talked about the pictures we saw in the beginning. That was all we did in QUEST today. By Annabelle
Today in QUEST we did a lot with The Book of Three. First, we read chapter 2 and talked about it as we went, to get some ideas going, to really understand the book. We met the character Gwydion, so we added him to the mind map. We also put some more qualities on different characters. Next, we worked on the systems project. We partnered up with someone else, and came up with as many systems as possible, which in my opinion was very fun. Finally, we did some with the engage project. By Reed
10/8/21 Today we continued reading the Book of Three and we read chapter three. Before that, we recapped the last chapter, which was chapter two. We continued to learn about the Industrial Revolution on the Engage assignment and we did the second photograph. Then, we watched the Turn Around-Upside Down Alphabet Book. Last, we had the first letter of our names and turned it into a picture. By Austin and Hannah
10/15/21 We began our day of QUEST with reading. Then we talked about Listening with Understanding and Empathy. Next was the Industrial Revolution. We looked at photos to infer what was happening during that time. Then we read chapter four of The Book of Three. We were introduced to the gwythaints and hear about the cauldron born. We added more information to The Book of Three mindmaps. It was a fun day! By Mikey and Linus
11/5/21 Today we started off with I Hear America Singing, a poem by Walt Whitman. We searched up two words we didn't know from the poem and learned about it. Then we put it in a sentence and made sure it made sense. Next, we read another fascinating chapter of The Book Of Three. Finally, we took notes on a video about the Industrial Revolution. It was another great day in QUEST. Josie and Clark
1/21/22 Today we started with reading a chapter of the The Book of Three. after that, we set up and had two socratic seminar's, the first seminar has about what is happening in Afghanistan. After that, we had our other socratic seminar about animal conservation. Lastly, we researched about our topics on the industrial revolution. By Mikey and Linus
3/4/2022 Today we presented our industrial revolution projects that we have been working on to the class. Every presentation was different and explained their topic really well. Every group put in tons of effort into explaining their topic very well, but not in a boring way. A few people even did games!!! At the end of the day, we worked on our engineering packet which we just started.

3/25/2022 Today we worked on engineering a paper tower only using 50 index cards. We had 15 minutes to complete this project. At the end of the 15 minutes we had to see if the tower supported a stapler. We also worked on finding descriptive language and personification in several poems that were created by other students. We ended the day by finding answers to engineering questions that will help us in the following engineering project.

Today in QUEST, starting from the morning, we went outside. Next, we continued on our poems inspired by 'Grapefruit'. Each of us came up with 15 descriptive words and 4 personifications to give clues about the item in our poem. After that, we worked on our engineering research projects with partners. Each group had a field of engineering to research and create a Google Slide. We had about an hour and 45 minutes to finish that.

4/8/22 Today we started of by eating lunch then going out to recess for a few minutes. Then we came back in and started to write our poems. After we were done with poems, we talked abut civil engineering. We read more about The Book of Three since we were really behind schedule. Finally, we played 24 and went home. Mikey and Clark
4/29/22 Today we spent most of the day building our plant-based packing peanut and toothpick structures. We needed our structures to withstand hurricane, tornado, and apocalyptic winds. All of our structures made it past hurricane level winds, one structure was the Ultimate Structure and came in very close contact, 1 inch, with the fan. The day went by very fast!
5/13/22 Today we explored Sphero BOLTs! It was so cool! We learned how to sync them with the IPad and use all of their functions. We had a course to maneuver our BOLTS through and we programmed our BOLTS to run a pattern. Peter lost his Bolt, so we had to try to find it. It was hiding behind the cafeteria door. We created a tag game using the bolts. The little kids were so curious ! They kept looking at the Bolts. We even raced the Bolts down to the water fountain and back. Lucas won. It was an epic day!
6/10/22 Today we built marble runs when we weren't at picnics and assemblies. Super Fun! There are videos and photos below.
