Wi-Fi Node
The physical hardware which receives environmental data (temperature, humidity, differential pressure, etc.) and transmits it to the cloud. Different terms concentrate on the different functions the device performs. (i.e. transmits data, logs data, senses temperature, etc.). Also Called: Node, Wi-Fi Sensor, Data Logger, Transmitter, Wi-Fi Monitor, Monitor.
Probe
A device which is in direct contact with the parameter to measure (temperature sensor, humidity sensor, etc.). This is separate from and not to be confused with a Wi-Fi Sensor which is synonymous with the Wi-Fi Node. Also called: Sensor (i.e. Humidity Sensor or Temperature Sensor)Â
Administrator
A title of a user with a greater authority/permission within the cloud. Also called: AdminÂ
Excursion
When data goes out of the Alarm Limits by either too high or too low. Also called: Data Alarm, Out of RangeÂ
OTA
Over the Air (OTA) refers to a series of products. Also called: OTA series, OTA Node, OTA Wi-Fi NodeÂ
The personal computer that is used to connect to the system’s web server must run on Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4, or a later version (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc.). The SensoScientific Cloud was developed to work with Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 or a later version (Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, etc.), Mozilla Firefox version 2 or later (Mozilla Firefox version 3, Mozilla Firefox version 3.5, etc.), or Google Chrome Version 32.0.1700 (Jan. 14, 2014) or later.
