Spare Nodes are backup nodes that can replace damaged or malfunctioning nodes within a facility. This eliminates the need to wait for a replacement to by shipped. To use a spare node, it must be activated then replace the inoperable Node.Â

The following are 3 steps that must be completed to properly activate a spare node for use:Â
 Turn on the Node and Configure to Wi-FiÂ
Turn on the node by inserting the batteries.Â
If you have opted for pre-configuration, the node will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi once it is turned on.Â
To perform self-configuration, go to OTA Features for more information on how to properly configure the node to your Wi-Fi network.
Contact the SensoScientific Technical Support Team to change the node’s status from “Spare” to “Active”Â
Once the spare node connects to your Wi-Fi network, please Submit a Ticket, asking the SensoScientific Technical Support team to activate the spare node. Please provide the node’s MAC Address found on the screen or on the back of the device. (See Submit a Ticket)
Perform a Node Replacement to replace the node
Once the Spare Node is activated, please go to Replace RMA Nodes for final instructions on how to complete the replacement.
