To configure a Temperature or Humidity node, a few critical features are recommended. Start by naming the device (Node Name and Location Name). The Node Time Zone should automatically assign to the global settings (See Configure Settings); if it is different for the node it can be changed. Set the Maximum and Minimum Alarm Limits. This is the most important feature of the configuration. The standard Alarm Delay is 60 minutes. Turn on the Data Alarm, Signal Alarm, Battery Alarm, and some form of notification method (email, SMS, voice, fax). Once these critical features have been implemented the rest of the details are based on preference. For example, the audible alarm can be turned on or off but does not determine the critical functionality of the device. If all the above has been completed, the node will notify the user upon excursion from the assigned temperature/humidity limits.Â
