Test Notification

NOTE: System and Group Admins are the only account types with the privilege to be able to test notifications. (See User Level Type Permissions for more information.)

You can Test Notifications by entering the appropriate Email Address, Phone Number, SMS Number, and Fax Number. You can also customize the Notification Content if you wish.

Test Notification

Navigate

Testing Notifications let you know 3 things:

Select the “CONFIGURATION” tab in the main menu.
Select the “Notifications” tab in the submenu.
The submenu will reveal new options. Select the “Test” tab.
Enter the appropriate Email Address, Phone Number, SMS Number, Fax Number, and edit the Notification Content (optional).
Click the “Sent Test Notification” button.

Test Notifications

Testing Notifications let you know 3 things:

That they system is properly sending out notifications
That your phone, email, and/or fax is properly receiving the notifications
Gives an example of what it looks like when you receive an alarm
