Things to be Thankful for (EHS Edition)

• The abundance of parking spaces for students, so every sophomore, junior, and senior who qualifies for a parking spot can get one

• A library with a wide range of updated books and quiet spaces for people to get stuff done

• A newer school, not crumbling to the ground, with a high quality maintenance crew 

• Multiple fields for athletics and schoolwide events

• A supportive band of teachers who can help assist with a wide range of subjects, such as school or out of school issues

• Never having to worry about teachers losing their jobs or certain features of a school getting shut down due to lack of funds

• A large ropes course with a wide variety of activities for classes to enjoy

• Plenty of sidewalks for classes to safely walk around the school when given the chance

• A large selection of clubs that anyone can join and branch out their interests and meet new people

• Chromebooks

• Limited phone usage (no WiFi, but better than no phones at all)

• Counselors available to anyone who needs them for any reason

• Extra help options before, during, and after school for anyone who needs them 

• Able to take the bus to and from school if needed

• Wide range of athletics and intramural sports giving anyone the chance to play a sport

The list could be longer for sure. We tend to take things for granted. But never seem to remember how extremely lucky we are to have.
