Exeter High School Student-Run Newspaper!
Exeter High School houses around 1,600 students and 200 faculty members. It provides good quality education to students in the SAU 16 district. Our current building opened in 2012 to provide a more up-to-date facility.
EHS loses some of its potential students to Phillips Exeter Academy. Their students pay a tuition fee, meaning the school can afford to provide more amenities, pay teachers more, and overall have a better learning environment.
EHS wants to provide the students and facility with better facilities. That is why starting in the 2024-2025 school year, they will require tuition. As PEA has only 1,000 students, EHS will be able to charge less and still provide these amenities.
In total, one year should cost $35,000 a year. This will be a required fee. Grants and scholarships will be given out, but very few students will receive these.
Overall, this required tuition will allow EHS to become a better school. This will attract more students from going to other schools, which is the overall goal of this plan. The education and facilities will improve, leading to happier students and faculty.
