DEIJ Updates
Hello, Bluehawks! It’s Bea^2 coming in hot with the BUZZ! (not the video version this time, sorry!)
Today we wanted to cover our recent Student DEIJ work here at EHS, as a few members of the Talon (Cate, Shayla, Lucia, Amelia, & Bea^2) are also a part of the committee. During March, we worked diligently on our origami mosaic, which can be viewed through the attached photos and video. In that video, you can find testimonials, as well as our wholehearted story behind the colorful piece.
March also marked the launch of our Instagram infographic campaign, with infographics marking the contributions of Black Americans for Black History Month! Keep an eye out for more infographics about game-changer women for Women’s History Month!
As for projects in the future, we plan on continuing our celebratory months. In April we will have a centralized focus around Arab American Heritage Month, so please be on the lookout for our infographics and primers highlighting Arab Americans :)
If you are interested in ways to better your community and promote belonging and love, join the Student DEIJ Committee in A108, Mr. Krauss’ room in the Library! We meet every Wednesday after school, and are excited to have you :) Hopefully, we will see you soon! And bring a friend!
