I Forgot to Write an Article

I forgot to write an article,

so I am writing this poem instead.

I am not sure what it will be about,

but I'll pull it from my head.

I could talk about my life,

my plans for later today,

but my life is pretty boring,

I'll be doing homework, anyway.

I could regale you with a story,

from when I was eight years old,

but it would truly take too long

for the story to unfold.

I could give you reviews,

for all my favorite books,

but there are way too many to list,

too many compelling hooks.

Now I've spent 16 lines,

talking about stuff.

What once was a nonexistent article,

filled you up with fluff.

I hope you've all enjoyed

my little yappy story,

I really truly hope

it didn't fully bore ye.
