The Student Council has been working hard to create engaging and fun activities at lunch for the high school students. Students earn points for participation and more points if they win! The latest activity for Colour Wars was Spoons, an intense card game where players have to collect four of a kind and then grab a spoon (or, in this case, plastic knives that were taped to avoid injuries) from the center. Intense debates were fought throughout the game and only a few students were victorious. As of now, the green team is in the lead in Colour Wars, but a lot can change before they are named the official winners of 2025-2026.
This year, the grades 5 to 9 participated in the "Concours d'art oratoire" organized by Canadian Parents for French. Weston Edmundson won our school competition in grade 5/6 and presented his speech at the Université de St-Boniface along with hundreds of other students in English, French, and French immersion schools. We are all so proud of the courage and determination that he has shown to present in French in front of such a large group of people. This competition is a way to encourage students to express themselves in French, as well as foster personal growth by setting goals for themselves. Congratulations, Weston!
Our Grade 3/4 students had a fantastic time at our community’s Sugar Festival. Thank you to the Sugar Shack team for the warm welcome!
Uh oh… our brave staff volunteers are getting nervous!
We’re inching closer to our $4,000 goal for Jump Rope for Heart, which means slime time is getting closer!
There’s still time to help us reach our goal and see which staff members get slimed!

What a busy and exciting month it has been for our Grade 1/2 class!
The 1/2’s have been working incredibly hard and have accomplished so much. They have been busy preparing and delivering presentations, putting their creativity and writing skills to work as they created and published their very own book, and collaborating together to build our amazing community diorama. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm, teamwork, and pride in all of their projects.
We had Oak Hammock Marsh who came and did a presentation on animals.
We also had M. Kevin who came and read us a book and then showed us a new indigenous dance!
I am so proud of all the effort they have put in and all that they have achieved this month!
