In grade 10 Social Studies, students have been asking questions and seeking answers. These bright learners showcased their understanding by creating infographics on a social, political, or economic issue in a country of their choice.
Mme Kirsten’s grade ½ class enjoyed lots of different Easter activities during the month of April. We have been working on consolidating all the addition and subtraction facts that we learned from January to March. The students enjoyed searching for equations around the classroom.
Mme Kirsten treated the students to an Easter egg hunt last week! Afterwards, the students needed to use a graph to count how many eggs they found of each colour.
Mme Nadine's grade 3/4 proudly displayed their projects about animals in the North to many classes in the school. They were also able to showcase their work during student-led parent-teacher conferences. They were even able to give their visitors a little lesson on beginner coding using the division's Tale-bots. These little bots can even speak French! Yay!
M. Martin's students are working on a statistics project involving the processing of data from their statistical surveys on Grade 7/8 students. They are also doing research to complete their natural science projects.
Right prisms with triangular and rectangular bases, as well as cylinders, were made by the Grade 8 students! From these shapes, they are learning how to calculate total surface areas.
On April 22nd, every student in our school stepped out of the classroom and into the community for a town-wide cleanup in honor of Earth Day. From picking up litter to tidying public spaces, we worked together to make our town a little greener and a lot cleaner. Huge thanks to all the students, teachers, and volunteers who made it happen—our planet is better because of you!
