The Colour Wars continue in Grade 9-12. Students participated in a Spirit Week which included PJ/cozy day, Country Club/Country Day, Sports Day and finally, "Anything but a backpack day." Students brought everything from toolboxes and golf bags to stew pots and mini shopping carts. We'll be having our Kick Off on Friday, October 10 where Grade 9 students will discover their team and be welcomed by the older students. Last year, Team Blue was victorious...what team will come out on top this year?
In Mme Aliane’s Grade 3/4 class, the month of September was dedicated to learning about and reflecting on the importance of Orange Shirt Day. Students explored this meaningful topic through a variety of learning experiences, including guest speaker visits, read-alouds, videos, and many thoughtful class discussions. Together, we deepened our understanding of why “Every Child Matters”.
Bienvenue dans la classe de 1/2 de Mme Allie!
We’ve had a busy and exciting few months getting back into school routines! The last few weeks have flown by as students have been settling in and having lots of fun.
In class, we’ve been reviewing our French letter sounds, reading French books, revisiting key math concepts, and creating some wonderful crafts! Recently, students earned a class reward and got to bring a stuffy to school. They loved writing detailed descriptions about their stuffy — it was a great way to practice adding more details in their writing!
Last week our Grade 3-8 Cross Country Runners made their way to St. Malo park to participate along with the other RRVSD schools. The students ran fantastic races, showcasing their training and commitment.
