We’re excited to announce the launch of our Breakfast Program, starting Monday, November 4!
Program Details:
When: Served daily, Monday through Friday
Time: Between 8:35 and 8:45 AM
Format: Grab and go!
Each day, students can enjoy a simple menu that will change daily, featuring items such as muffins, yogurt, or fresh fruit. This program is available to all students, from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
We can’t wait to see you there! Start your day off right with a healthy breakfast!
Meet the 2024-25 Girls Varsity Team. Our athletes have shown tremendous growth and resilience, heading into November undefeated! The competition has been fierce, but their determination, work ethic, and teamwork have pulled them through challenging games. Let's keep up the hard work, stay strong, and continue pushing for greatness. Go Huskies!
Reading and more reading in Grade 11 ELA! We start every day with sustained silent reading where students read a book of their choice. Then, appropriately timed with Halloween, we're studying Shakespeare's Macbeth.
This is a science activity about how machines work! This is about understanding the speed and performance system of the bike.
Which gears require less physical effort? Which gears generate the most speed? Which gear to select to go up a slope and which to go down the slope!
Verifying our hypotheses put us on avenues of reflection that the students will have to explore further with their own bike at home!
Both Grade 5/6 classrooms welcomed Kevin Stevenson, our Indigenous Inclusion Teacher, for 3 days of learning about Treaties in Canada. Together, we explored how First Nations viewed treaties as a forever agreement in the form of a relationship rather than simply as a transaction with the government or the crown.
Mme Michelle's Maternelle classes have been busy this week doing Halloween patterns, playing Halloween letter games, and decorating our Halloween candy bags. Fun was had by all as we exchanged Halloween treats and enjoyed different Halloween centers with our classmates. Last but not least, we finished off the day with a Halloween dance in the school gym! Happy Halloween!
We’d like to remind everyone that students are required to have two pairs of shoes: one for indoor use and one for outdoor activities. We recommend that indoor shoes be a pair of runners, as these are necessary for physical education classes.
Please note that Heelys are not considered appropriate footwear for indoor use or physical education and are not permitted at school. Our priority is to ensure that all students can safely navigate the school environment and fully participate in PE classes.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Hello Heritage Community,
My name is Erin Kettler, and I am honored to introduce myself as the newly appointed President of the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) for this school year. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to what we, as a PAC, can accomplish together to support our school.
We are actively seeking new volunteers to join the PAC in any capacity you are able. Whether you can commit a little time or a lot, your involvement makes a big difference. Our next meeting will be held virtually on November 26th at 7:30 PM, and we encourage anyone interested to attend. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about what the PAC does, and we’ll have a Q&A session at the end to answer any questions you may have.
If you’d like to get involved or simply learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at heritageptac@gmail.com. We’ll also be posting the meeting link in the blog closer to the date.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Warm regards,
Erin Kettler
PAC President
