Inspired by a 2022 experiment done by an Israeli scientist, a couple of our high school Electronics students, Elliot and John, have been problem-solving a "fish-driven" car! The project consists of a Raspberry Pi single-board computer, a miniature video camera, a 3D printed base, four omnidirectional wheels and a small fish tank. The camera will translate how Richard, our fish, moves about in his mini tank into driving directions that will activate the proper wheels. The hope is that Richard will realize that he is the master of his vessel and stear himself towards his fishy treats! Other students are also hard at work finishing up their LEGO printed circuit board clocks modeled here by Maxine!
On behalf of Rat River Recreation Commission...
I'm writing to sincerely congratulate your art students on the wonderful completion of the "Love My Community" mural project! Everyone at Rat River Recreation is absolutely delighted with the outcome.
We are so grateful to your talented students for their creativity and dedication in making this vision a reality, and we extend a special thank you to Rachelle Lamoureux for her guidance. We also truly appreciated having the students in our office; their politeness and good behavior were commendable.
This project's focus on spreading kindness, promoting joy, and strengthening connections between different age groups in our community is incredibly important. Encouraging everyone to think about the small but meaningful ways we can support mental wellbeing is a valuable message to share.
Thank you for bringing such a positive spirit to our community through this project.
