Our Grade 10 students had the opportunity to participate in the Construction Career Exposition, an engaging and hands-on learning experience. This exciting and valuable event allowed high school students to explore a wide range of trades and gain insight into potential career opportunities within the construction industry.
Our Student Council is hard at work preparing for our upcoming community fundraiser, Kick Cancer to the Curb, happening on Friday, May 30!
From updating bulletin boards and presenting to classes, to creating posters, fundraising, and reaching out to local businesses and media — they’re handling it all. Their dedication, passion, and teamwork are making this event come to life in a big way. So far, they’ve raised over $3000 and we even saw M. Hochman take the Ice Bucket Challenge in support!
Way to go, Student Council! We truly appreciate everything you're doing to make this fundraiser a success.
What a crazy month this has been!! The days are flying by and the countdown to end of the year is on!! We have had a fun filled month. The grade 1/2's had an amazing time at the Children's Museum. We had a chance to explore the museum and dissect owl pellets!! The students worked hard this month writing our "Qui suis-je" (Guess who) piece. They worked on describing themselves and editing they work!! We also had a chance to present them to the 3/4 and 5/6 classes. May was also Jump Rope for heart month and I love to read month! We have been reading books outside, in the dark, with a partner, etc. May also brings warmer weather!! We have been having fun going outside for our math blocks, mesuring various items in the school yard!! We will continue to enjoy the nice weather and have fun before the school year ends!!
Last week, the grades 7-8 classes travelled to Moose Jaw for the Moose Jaw Music Festival. The junior band knocked it out of the park, impressing the judges with their sensitive and mature playing! During our stay, we had the chance to visit and explore the world famous Moose Jaw tunnels, the Western Development Museum and some cool tourist spots. Our students were also incredible ambassadors of our school community with their exemplary respectful behaviour. Bravo Grades 7-8 classes! A big thank you to our awesome parent-chaperones and teachers who accompanied us on this fun trip!
Thank you to coach Miguel and coach Skyler for running the Eastman Raiders flag football clinic with the grade 2-4 students! The kids enjoyed it so much and walked away with an appreciation of the game!
Celebrating I Love To Read Month with the maternelles and the "big kids". The maternelles showed Mme Aliane's class how well they can read their books in French. But the best part was reading in their very own forts together.
