The Grade 7/8 students from Mme Ashley’s class have jumped right back into learning with enthusiasm. On Tuesday, we kicked things off with a fun and educational visit to the museum, where we even got to enjoy some delicious maple syrup—what a sweet way to start the week!
In French, we’ve begun reading the novel Repartir. Students are engaging with the story through their reading journals, where they’re exploring various literary devices and strengthening their writing skills.
The grade 1/2s were busy before spring break. We were learning about solids and liquids and how things float. The students had to design and build a boat that could float.
Some grade 9 students came to our class one day to help us with centers and the students loved interacting with the big kids.
This past Tuesday, we were lucky to be able to go to the Sugar Shack in St Pierre for some taffy and to visit the different buildings at the museum while we were there.
Mme Brigitte’s Grade 3/4 class has been busy diving into their interdisciplinary project on Northern Canada. Through their research, they explored northern animals, the unique beauty and challenges of life in the North, natural resources, and extreme weather conditions. Their learning culminated in a captivating Northern Museum, where they proudly shared their work with others.
St. Patrick’s Week brought a whole different kind of adventure, filled with treasure hunts, cheerful chaos, laughter, and creative leprechaun-wanted ads!
It’s been a fun-filled month, and we’re holding on tightly to these last few months together—making memories, learning, and enjoying every moment.
