A HUGE thank you to MDM Sand & Gravel for filling up our sandbox! We are so grateful!
Mme Côté's Applied Technology classes wrapped up their school year with final projects. The grade 7 & 8 classes planned, coded and 3D printed a take-home object. High school Robotics students coded computer games in their language of choice, and high school Electronics students soldered and brought home their rechargeable desk lamps. The advanced Electronics students created LED communication glasses where one partner communicated directions to another partner with LED lights inside of black-out glasses via a remote control. We tested them with an obstacle course and a friendly game of dodgeball in the gym. So many laughs were had!
Themes, themes, themes!
Grades 3/4 in Madame Brigitte’s class have been using creative themes to explore our final units and review key concepts, making learning both meaningful and fun. What a great way to stay engaged while building understanding and having fun along the way! Students took on the challenge of escaping a castle by solving a variety of perimeter and area problems as part of our construction theme. It was tough at times, but we learned the importance of perseverance and using different problem-solving strategies. Our camping week brought just the right mix of fresh air, excitement, and a few treats as we head toward the end of the year. From flashlights and tents to forts and s’mores (with no mosquitoes in sight!), it’s been a memorable and fun-filled month!
Earlier this month, grade 12 students in French Language Arts had the time of their lives writing the provincial exam.
Mme Nadine's grade 5/6 class have been busy this last month of school. We were able to create our own bilingual recipe book, we created graphs playing bean bag toss at the park, we created our own simple machine park, and we attended our mural unveiling at the Jolys Regional Library. We have had such a great year together!
What a great year of music-making! We moved into our new amazing music room, we participated in 2 festivals, had three concerts but most importantly, we created, collaborated and grew everyday through making music.
To cap it off, our grade 11/12 band class created beautiful music timelines for all our students to enjoy! A big thank you to our grade 11/12 band for their hard work!
A huge thank you to Mme. Maria for spending the afternoon painting our students faces! Your creativity helped make the day extra special! Merci Mme Maria!!
