ABSTRACT

The grant proposal for ISucceed by Lauren LoSardo will provide iPads for 200 children. The funding will cover the cost of the iPads, cases, and educational applications. Providing iPads for children three years and older will help the child become more familiar with technology, help their fine motor skills, and will provide new learning opportunities in all classroom subjects. Technology is constantly evolving and changing; as times change, so has learning. Instead of limiting what children love to do, educators need to support them and give them the necessary tools to succeed. The ISucceed program will provide the iPads for the children but will also provide countless applications that will support children in math, language, science, reading, writing, and other subjects. Each student will have an individual profile that lets teachers and parents monitor the child’s strengths and weaknesses. In the beginning, the children will take a series of assessments to determine where they stand academically. Content is provided for each individual child based on how each child scores on the assessments. As children’s academic levels increase, so will the content on the apps. The ISucceed grant proposal aims to help children succeed in their academic journey and prepare them for Kindergarten.
