Honors Scholars

Honors Program

Students in the Honors Program have the opportunity to take honors classes (offered through the traditional program), participate in honors activities, and earn distinctions.

Incoming students with an ACT of 27 or an SAT of 1280 (Critical Reading and Math) are eligible for the honors program. Transfer students and existing students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are also eligible.

All honors coursework is clearly designated as such on student transcripts. To earn the distinction of Honors Scholar, students must complete 14 credits of honors coursework and earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. To earn the distinction of Distinguished Honors Scholar, students must complete 20 credits of honors course work and earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
