ABSTRACT
This grant proposal is to seek funding for training teachers to develop purposeful and innovative ways to effectively use modern technology to operate digital devices, such as the Internet and iPads or other learning devices to enhance the learning of all students. Modern technology and multiple digital devices can only help students learn if teachers make the valuable investment of going through the process of training how to use the technology efficiently. The funding for this project will train teachers to have the ability to use modern technology comfortably and be able to serve students with more positive intervention. The variety of trainings range from day-workshops, non-college session programs, or college courses to meet anyone teacher’s current level of experience with the goal of eliminating existing problems of stress related interactions between students and teachers. Funding of $25,000.00 will also be applied to technology experts to assist teachers to use their freshly obtained knowledge in meaningful ways at the location of their classrooms. By increasing each teacher’s proficiency using technology, teachers become more valuable because they are able to communicate effectively online to do research and gather information needed to change and create curriculum for authentic learning both in the classroom and aboard in such cases as during a pandemic and the entire school district benefits. The key is to increase the technological skill of teachers that reciprocates an increase in instructional output that is expected to have positive effects on student’s performance and behavior.
