FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The college thru its competent campus officials and HM faculty member is hereby requested to continue to work on securing the approval of a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) of the program from the Commission on Higher Education

The Campus Official and BSHM faculty submitted a request letter for the COPC of BS Hospitality Program last 2022 and is not yet returned

It was observed in the syllabi presented that the graduate attributes that were recommended in the last survey were not specified. It was the goals and objectives of the program that were emphasized. Hence, it is sincerely advised to revisit the syllabi under program goals and objectives and make a possible modification or enhancement by clearly stating the graduate attributes anchored on the university's core values.

Faculty Members undergo a series of Mentoring Mentors for the enhancement and updating of syllabi for the graduate attribute of BS Hospitality Management

Since the Hospitality Management program is a skilled-based course and a non-board program, and considering that none among the core faculty are holders of any competency and very few HM students acquired NCs, it is humbly requested that both HM Faculty and students in Narra Campus be required to take up the assessment and acquired a certification of the different competencies offered related to hospitality management instead of the licensure examination

The college or the department may utilize an approved template to be used relative to the distribution of syllabi to the students showing the date, time, subject, year and section, student’s signature, etc. at the onset of classes.

It is humbly recommended that adequate and relevant pieces of evidence be attached in every benchmark statement taking into consideration that the evaluation is conducted thru online approach. Moreover, a sequential arrangement of these documents is highly advised.

Faculty member gives activity thru online approach and gives evaluation. In every activity given there is a specific instrument to be used to measure their performance.

Since online evaluation greatly depends on the uploaded documents, it is suggested that all benchmark statement shall be filled in with the essential documents.

The college or the department may consider the issuance of written communication when conducting meetings to the different concerned offices or departments indicating that these memoranda are duly received.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program are securing a written communication when conducting any kind of activities

It would be more presentable if the minutes to be done in a more automated way rather than handwritten in the logbook. It also good to note that the prepared minutes of the meetings must be duly signed by all the parties involved.

The Minutes of the Meeting are done in an automated way signed by the one who prepared it.

It is requested that the concerned officials of the CCRD South motivate their HM Core faculty members to produce their Instructional Materials and have it copyrighted.

The Core-Faculty Members of the BSHM Program produced instructional material – Educational Tour Manual and Modules.

The rubrics prepared by the faculty members which will be used during the hands-on activities of the students is advised to have the name and signature of the concerned faculty.

The faculty members handling core subjects of BSHM with laboratory activities are preparing rubrics with the approval of her/his program head and signed by him/her.

Present evidence showing that the evaluation of tools and instruments in the assessment of the academic performance of the students are being reviewed and evaluated by the concerned faculty/ authorities.

The faculty member securing rubrics to be used as an evaluation tools and instrument in the assessment of the academic performance of the student and it is reviewed by the chair-on-instruction and program head

Provide sufficient bases that course requirements were returned to the students after these were analyzed and recorded
