Findings and Recommendation

Action Taken

1. Continuing education for the professional development of faculty members in pursuance of graduate degree programs (MS/Ph.D.) in reputable institutions is highly recommended to address professional inbreeding.

Five of the Eight Full-time Faculty Members are pursuing their graduate degrees.

Three part-time faculty are pursuing their graduate degrees.

2. Hiring additional highly competent faculty members in the field of Financial Management/Business Administration/Management is suggested to handle the specialized field/subjects.

3. Attendance of the faculty members in the National and International seminars and trainings to update on the latest trends/breakthroughs in Business Administration; and upgrade their knowledge and competence.

4. Faculty may search for membership in professional organizations aligned to their field of specialization to widen their horizon and competencies.

Faculty members were already members of professional organizations in business.

5. The course syllabi may be enhanced and updated following the outcomes-based education and the integration of gender and development.

6. De-loading of faculty members is suggested to come up and implement quality research and extension program.

7. The university may come up in service training for faculty members related to packaging quality proposal that is aligned to the research and extension agenda of the Provincial and Regional level for submission to funding agencies and others.

PSU Narra hosted a Seminar Write shop on Research Proposal Writing

8. Instructional materials for subjects should be made available for students and may be reviewed by the University Instructional Materials Review Committee and apply for copyright/patent to claim ownership.

Instructional Materials in the form of Modules were made available to the students.

An OJT Manual and Case Study Handbook were developed and are under finalization.

9. Technologies generated through research should reach the community through extension work and involvement of students is suggested in order to visualize the impact of extension activities in sustainable livelihood and development of the community.

Research is disseminated through Extension Activities involving students.

10. Housing for the faculty members especially to those residing outside the municipality of Narra may be given attention for easier accessibility to the University and for safety and security of faculty members.

11. Additional incentives to faculty members with exemplary performance are suggested to motivate/encourage them to work more.

The Campus initiated an appreciation day to give recognition to faculty members.

12. Publication of faculty research outputs in ISI, refereed, CHED-accredited journals are limited.

13. Faculty may provide a variety of multi-sensory material and computer-based program instructional material for each subject in highly suggested. Other students’ exposure like fieldtrips, co-curricular activities to enrich faculty and -student interrelationship is also encouraged.

Use of technology like Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom LCD Projector, and Smart TV in the Classroom were implemented.

16.Upgrading/procurement/establishment of state-of-the-art facilities may be given attention by the administration for efficient and effective teaching and learning process in attaining quality education.
