FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

ACTION TAKEN

Faculty members are suggested to affiliate themselves with hospitality-related professional organizations to keep them updated on the current trends in the industry.

Faculty Members are affiliated with hospitality-related professional organizations like the Philippine Association of Researchers for Tourism and Hospitality (PARTH) 

There is a need for professional advancement among them by participating in national/ international seminars, training and conferences related to hospitality

Faculty Members attended and participated in National/ International seminars, training, and conferences related to hospitality.

Taking certification from TESDA or a similar agency is encouraged among them, to align the standards and competencies required in the industry with the learning they are transferring to students

Faculty Members have their TESDA certification to broaden their knowledge and skills

Other functions/ designations may be assigned to other faculty members or hiring additional qualified faculty/ staff maybe considered

The administration hired new faculty, both full-time and part-time instructors as well as the staff to do other important function and designations

Faculty immersions and pursuing post graduate studies related to hospitality is needed.

Faculty members are pursuing their post-graduate studies related to hospitality

Decrease in the number of preparations for teaching may be considered. The workload of the faculty members may be reviewed considering the efficiency and effectiveness of its delivery for quality education

Hired COS (Contract of Service) and Part-Time Instructor to decrease the number of of preparations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of its delivery for quality education

Involvement of faculty on creative and scholarly works is encouraged to enhance their professional competence

Faculty members pursuing their post-graduate studies, involvement of faculty to the different national/ international organization and engagement of the faculty to the speaking engagement in the NGO’s and related bodies.
