Action Taken

1. It is highly encouraged that every faculty (solo/collaborative) members involve themselves in the conduct of research.

The faculty formulated and submitted a team

/collaborative research proposal.

The BSA faculty conducted researches in collaboration with students.

2. In-house review trainings and reviews on research endeavors is highly encouraged.

The university and campus conducted in- house reviews for research proposal presentation.

3. A more systematic monitoring system may be formulated to check the progress of ongoing research projects. The research department may require documents such as progress and terminal reports.

The University Research Office (URO) has formulated an Operation Manual that provides information, administrative procedures, and guidelines regarding its research functions. It includes the procedures for submission of proposals for internal funding, claiming and processing of publication incentives, submission of performance reports, request for attendance to research training and conferences, and other relevant information about the

operations of the URO.

4. The program may consider strengthening its commercialization program through linkages with industries and LGU.

The program formulated a MOA with the LGU for Research and extension support.

The institution may also consider the creation of an Intellectual Office to organize a systematic and well-documented transfer of knowledge and technology.

The UIPO was established on 28 November 2012 by virtue of Office Order No. 445, s.

2012. It was confirmed by the PSU Board of Regents on 05 December 2012 under BOR Resolution No. 92, s. 2012.

Primarily, UIPO is mandated to implement the Intellectual Property (IP) Policy of the University in accordance with the provisions of the IP Code of the Philippines (RA 8293), as amended; and the Philippine Technology

Transfer Act of 2009 (RA 10055).

5. The program is highly encouraged to scout for linkages and collaboration with funding institutions to strengthen the research capability of the

program.

The program research personnel will be attending DA-ACEF R&D Grant Orientation to scout funding and support.

6. The institution may consider reviewing its internal policies, system and mechanism pertaining to research fund allocation and disbursement to help small campuses maximize their resources relative to

conduct of research activities

7. The institution may want to purchase licensed statistical software

The institution purchased Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
