AACCUP Accreditors Findings and Recommendations

Action Taken

1. Documents presented as evidences need to be signed by concerned officials, relevant and certified by proper authority, arranged

logically, properly packaged for ease in browsing, retrieving and evaluating the data presented for the program under survey.

The program focal persons managed to get a signed from the concerned officials for the documents such as Performance Evaluation.

The other documents are being registered to the PSU-SYSTEM as an official document.

It is also been compiled in soft copy to be uploaded in the Online Portal for easily browsing. The portal has been created for an easy access and user-friendly.

Since the Accreditation is a virtual event, the documents and all necessary files are being stored and uploaded in the portal for virtual inspection and

validation.

2. It is encouraged that documents supported by pictures should be cleared enough, properly labeled including event, time and date taken and with appropriate signature of concerned officials

The photo documentation is labeled with the name of the person, event and date.

3. The Quality Assurance office of the university may consider conducting an orientation to program and area leaders on the appropriateness and adequacy of documents or evidences to be provided to each mother statements.

The UQAC conducts training and orientation about the importance of Accreditation and how to prepare documents as a proof of everything.

4. With the accreditation becoming a culture in PSU-Narra campus, recommending qualified members to be an AACCUP accreditors who can lead the institution in the preparation of proper implementation of the accreditation process is highly encouraged.

The administration recommended and send a qualified faculty to attend and become an accreditor.

Those academic ranks Assistant Professor I and above are being selected.

5. The unit under survey may consider encouraging involvement and active participation of various stakeholders particularly the concerned students in the preparation of budget, procurement program and other activities of the institution.

The PSU Narra Campus conducted its Strategic Planning Workshop to create strong foundation of the core thrust of the university: Instruction, Research, Extension, and Production.

Along with the program, students’ administration is also invited to share and present their plan of activities for the operation of the student government.

6. The administration may also encourage and motivate faculty members to pursue higher degree programs so that the campus may not be drained from competent and qualified officials.

Most of the faculty are master holder degree; some of them are pursuing doctoral degree.

Some are pursuing their masteral degree.

7. The Campus Director may consider requesting copies of important documents from the main campus that concern the smooth operation of the campus.

As the online platform is being utilized, the request of important documents is convenience. The Admin Office and the like create a google drive wherein the documents can be downloaded easily. Other documents can be request online.

through the use of google drive and google classroom.

8.  The college is encouraged to have a proper system of disposing non serviceable and condemned equipment, supplies and materials especially those toxic wastes.

The campus administration released a memorandum stating the Waste Management Policy and being practiced over the years before pandemic times.

9. Proper filing and documentation of student activities that may include: activity proposal, program,

attendance sheets, pictures, evaluation of the concluded activity and activity report may be considered.

The campus administration keeping the important documents in a steel cabinet to secure the safety and confidential. Such thing, it is also safe from ants and termites.

10. The visit of the university Physician and Dentist to look after the condition and welfare of students even at least twice a semester may be given due consideration.

The campus has the Memorandum of Agreement between the Rural Health Unit.

This is to emphasize that the LGU and the campus has a strong bond and support.

The RHU Personnel conducted check-up and other medical related activities to PSU.

11. The Dean and other members         of       the

community are

encouraged to established linkages, partnership and networking activities thru Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) of Memorandum of Understandings (MO Us) to various government and       non-government

agencies.

The dean together with the campus administration pursue to look for persons or groups to become a partner in delivering quality education.

The Memorandum of Agreement is being accomplished through the help of every personnels and clienteles to help the program in nurturing the skills and knowledge of the students.

12. It is recommended that concerned unit of the college may engage or forge a collaborative activity in generating resources and income to augment the operation of the institution.

The campus held its Strategic Plan 2020-2025 at Rich Pearl Resort, Malinao, Narra, Palawan to present and talk about the plan for the thrust of the institution and campus together with the presence of the students represented by the President and officers of the student government.

13. If budget warrants, the college consider hiring additional support staff in job•order or work order status to assist officials with multiple duties and responsibilities of those with more than one designation.

The administration hired additional staff for the betterment of the operation of the campus.

14. The administration may also consider encouraging and motivating faculty

members holding administrative position to pursue studies to align to the program under survey and for further professional growth.

The faculty especially the program heads and faculty under the leadership of the administration are being continuously and pursuing to study in a much higher degree such as masteral and doctoral.

Some of them are already master degree holder.
