To accomplish the PSU Vision and Mission, the BSBA Marketing Management Extension Unit aims to achieve the following:
1. Conduct research-based extension programs in the community;
2. Bring business opportunities and/or sustainable livelihood projects to the community through training and seminars; and
3. Equip the community with knowledge and skills of the principles and concepts of marketing.

COMPLEMENTATION OF THE EXTENSION PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES AND THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM
The BSBA Marketing Management major focuses on preparing its graduates for career in marketing, market research, advertising, and public relations. It also provides the graduate with the technical skills and competencies required in the field and the flexible mindset necessary to stay competitive in a constantly changing business environment. Core courses focuses on honing the students to be morally upright, humane, competent, productive and prime movers of development in the field of business and /or marketing management, thus the program answers the needs of the community in mentoring the industry players to be more effective and efficient in uplifting the economic situation of the community and in nation6building, and to render quality service to its clienteles. Thus, they will also share the knowledge and skills they have acquired with the community.
Through this endeavor, faculty, students, and those involved in the extension program share and hone their skills. On the other hand, the beneficiaries receive technology, both theory and technical-related.

Describe the congruence between the stakeholders’ participation in the formulation of the Extension Agenda
Stakeholders’ participation in the formulation of the Extension Agenda is very important for they will fully participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of the project if they themselves are part of it. They will speak of what they need on which will become the basis in crafting the project.
Describe the stakeholders’ participation in the formulation of the Extension Agenda
Stakeholders speaks for what they needed or deemed important in community and nation building; thus, their thoughts and ideas will be blended to create an extension agenda that will cater various needs and brings development.
After Needs Assessment Survey the result was presented to the stakeholders for validation, and together, they will craft the extension program and upon approval of the institution’s administration and of the barangay officials the extension program will be implemented. In case problems arise, it will be forwarded to partners or pool of consultants for immediate action.
The stakeholders’ participation in the formulation of the Extension Agenda
OUTCOMES
Present/Show evidence that priority and relevant extension projects and activities are conducted.
The table also shows that the current activities of the BSBA major in Marketing Management are aligned with the unit, college, and university’s thrusts.
The table shows that extension activities implemented by the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management answer the community’s needs based on the result of the needs assessment conducted in the community.
Project LSO aims to change the lives and behavior of the clients by teaching them the technology followed by interventions that will help change their behavior and economic status in life.
Stakeholder’s meeting at Bato - Bato Covered Court spearheaded by Prof. Raph Balanoba and other faculty af PSU Narra, Barangay Officials and Organization’s heads.
The participants and extension implementers after the Series 1 of Empowering Women’s Associations through Seminar-Workshops at Bato-Bato Covered Court last October 18, 2023.

Monitoring
Extension activities shall be closely monitored through the following:
Monitoring forms to be filled up on a monthly basis by participants/trainees of the training program conducted.
Unscheduled visit in the place of work by the M & E Section.
Submission of monthly and quarterly progress report by the implementers of extension programs/projects.
Conduct of semestral and year-end reporting and evaluation on implemented extension plans.
Gathering of feedback from clients for each implemented tasks.
Evaluation
The M & E Section shall be responsible in implementing evaluation jobs. To be evaluated shall be the implemented plans, and the performance of the implementers.
Implemented plans shall be evaluated in terms of the achievements of targets, and goals, the cost incurred, and the participation of the partner implementers.

There is a regular meeting and monitoring with the beneficiaries and stakeholders and if there are some issues it will be forwarded to the concern agency for solution/s.
OUTCOMES

I. Rationale
This project was conceptualized with the aim that it will increase the women’s economic power by capacitating them with livelihood programs and eventually turn in into a business for them to earn extra income that will also support their family. It will boast their morale and status in the community that they can still earn while managing their household.
Objective (General)
This project aims to enhance and develop the skills and livelihood of the community.
II. Extension Program Components
Palawan State University Narra, Local Government Unit through the Municipal Office of Agriculture and DTI, Bgy. Officials of Bato-Bato, Narra and the Community.

Project 1: Seminars and Training-Workshops on Different Livelihood Programs

Description 1:
Different livelihood programs will be introduced to the community like but not limited to: Training-Workshops on Soap Making, Baking, Food Processing, Flower arrangement and Skirting. This will develop their skills and eventually they can use those skills to start their own business.
Project 2: Marketing, Value Adding and Branding
Description 2:
Trainings, Seminars and Workshop on this aspect will give opportunity to the
community to learn the practices and latest trends in marketing. They will gain insights on the processes and right marketing practices so that they can maximize the oppo3r3tunity for
a profit maximization of their products and/or services.

Project 3: Management of Small Business

Description of Project 3:
Series of Trainings on Development and Management of MSME’s to assure resiliency and progress in the industry and to ensure quality service from the workforce. This will be the venue to examine and understand operations and other factors that will affect and contribute to the success of the business.
Project 4: Financial Management and Simple Bookkeeping
Please refer to appendix 4 for the budgetary requirement
Description of Project 4:
This will serve as a venue to provide the beneficiaries with training-workshops on making healthy financial decisions both on personal, professional on the firm ‘s aspect. Simple Bookkeeping will also be taught for them to have proper recording of business transactions that will ease decision making and will also lead to efficient and effective use of resources for profit maximization.

Executive Summary:
Business Plan Essentials Webinar Series is both an Instruction and Extension activity of the PSU-Narra BS Entrepreneurship and BSBA major in Marketing Managements Programs of PSU-Narra. It aims to help students to be ready in crafting their business plan. Topics are related in the many different aspects of business on which speakers, both from Academe and in the industry, share their expertise and mentored the university students and other attendees. As an extension program, it aims to help those who want to engage in business or currently doing business activities to be at the right track.
The webinar series was attended by WPU-Aborlan and Quezon City University students, Marinduque State College, Benguet State University and professionals here and abroad and local business owners.
The webinar series is composed of 6 series with ten topics.

Present manifestations that the Extension Program is adequately funded.
The extension program is funded out of the Municipal Aid (aid from the local government to help augment the operations of the campus) and the Parents Teachers Council Fund and the program’s alumni. This is on top of the regular college fund. The extension funds came from the fund of different stakeholders. This raises the level of accountability on the part of the extension people and higher level of participation from the stakeholders (LGU and PTC) since part of the project funding came from them.

BEST PRACTICES
1. Linkage with LGU – Narra through Department of Agriculture, Barangay Council of Bato-Bato and Rural Improvement Club of Bato-Bato.
2. Alumni are very helpful in donating funds.
3. Collaboration between the LGU and the College in funding the activities.
4. Linkages with different organizations help augment the limited resources of the extension unit.
5. Help save money for the government with its partnership scheme with other government agencies that have the same goals as that of the extension program.
PARAMETER D : COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT and PARTICIPATION in the
INSTITUTION’S ACTIVITIES
SYSTEM – INPUT-PROCESS
Present strategies in the involvement of community, government and private agencies in the Extension Program.
The program maintains a harmonious and collaborative school-community relationship. The community is always invited to participate in the training, implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities, as well as sourcing of the funds and other resources.
The government plays an important role in the success of the extension program. The program ask permission from the LGU-Narra to craft resolutions beneficial to the project. Other barangays and private key players in the industry will also be tapped to participate in the program.
INVOLVEMENT OF STAKEHOLDERS IN PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, EVALUATION AND DISSEMINATION OF EXTENSION PROGRAMS
IMPLEMENTATION
Describe community participation in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, fund-sourcing and technology/knowledge utilizations.
A Needs Assessment Survey will be conducted in the community to determine the needs of the people. After which, the result will be presented to the barangay as validation on which both parties will craft an extension program in accordance to the needs of the community.
For the project to be sustainable, Project implementers listen to the voice of the beneficiaries as basis for activities to be implemented, after which the implementers monitors their progress and in times that problems arises, it was acted upon either by the implementers or other stakeholders. They become the subject of the evaluation on which result is disseminated to the stakeholder involved.
