How do waves influence our daily lives?

Science

In this project, students designed a solar cell product, and investigated variables to influence the amount of energy captured by a solar cell. Then, they used their investigation to inform the design of their solar cell products.

History

For the 4th Quarter, we looked at the era of Reconstruction in American History and discussed the different views and perspectives of this time. We thought about the challenge of viewing history from only one perspective and how that might effect an individuals understanding. Student took that concept and applied it to a topic of their choosing and worked to create a poster that shows the differing perspectives of a topic and how you might view it. Math 2021-22

In our unit on stats, we took real data and by hand calculated measures of centrality (mean and median) and measures of variation (MAD, Standard Deviation, and Interquartile Range). We also produced visual representations of the data (graphs) in various forms by hand. As a project, we took a deeper look at this data and how outliers affect the mean and the median and how the data can be interpreted. The students enjoyed learning the technology aspect. We followed up our unit by concluding with our test data and analyzing it as well.
