Students were given the opportunity to chose a bird that as a class we had learned about. Once the bird was chosen, as a group we did the research to fill in the missing words to complete each sentence. After that the students practiced writing the 3 sentences and drawing a picture of their bird. For the final project the students took their sentences and drawing and put them together to make a bird that will be published.

At the end of the project the students sat down as a group and brainstormed how birds affect our community in a good way and bad way.
With some of the problems as a group we talked about ways that we could solve the problem or ways that we have seen the problems solved.
