Q2:

What impacts does the weather have on my clothing choice and outside activities in Idaho?

Students learned about the different types of weather and the impacts that wear has on what they decided to wear when going outside. Students learned about the seasons that Idaho experiences in a year. They learned about the possible weather that Idaho can experience. After learned about the seasons and weather, their final project was to create a fashion show. Each student was given a season and from there they would choose an outside activity that they would participate in during that season. Once they have chosen their activity, they were to bring or wear clothing that they would wear when participating in that outside activity.

As the weather entered each new season that students would take time during that day to come up with activates, holidays and clothing choice that they would experience or see during that season.

Vocabulary that the students learned during this unit.

Students learned about the types of weather that Idaho can experience. Then they drew a picture of that weather in their science notebooks.

Her season was spring and she chose walking in the rain.
His season was Spring and he chose baseball.
His season was summer and he chose swimming.
Her season was summer and she chose swimming.
Her season was fall and she chose jumping in the leaves.
His season was winter and he chose sledding.

For their project the student put on a fashion show. Each students was assigned a season and then within that season they got to choose which activity they would do during that season. They were to bring or wear clothing that they would wear when participating in the activity. They were also allowed to bring in any extra things that would help the class understand that activity they had chosen.
