8th Grade Orientation

On March 15, 2023, while other students have a half day, the eighth graders of MMS will be spending the latter half of their school day at the high school. From 11 am to 3 pm, they will go to the high school to prepare for their freshmen year. 

Students will be able to take a tour and learn how to navigate the building. They can learn about the clubs and sports offered, and meet briefly with their HS counselor. There are seven different counselors for the freshmen who are assigned alphabetically, but a different one can be requested.

At this meeting, students will then submit a form to show their choices for 9th grade courses. Specifically, freshmen can choose the two electives and world language they wish to participate in. They will also fill out their form with their chosen math class next year based on their current level of math this year.

This will also be a follow-up to the presentation at the HS for parents which took place on March 7th at 7 pm and the presentation in the Auditorium for students on March 9th during study hall.
