Want a yummy summer?
There are several ways to make your hot day cool and tasty!
If you’re bored on a hot summer day, you can make homemade ice cream!
Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups heavy cream
1 ¼ cup of whole milk
¾ cup sugar
⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean split in half lengthwise
OPTIONAL: 2 cups of add-ins - soft brownies and cookies
Instructions:
Pour 1 cup of cream into a saucepan. Add the sugar and salt. Cut the vanilla bean open, scrape out the seeds, and put both the seeds and the pod into the pan.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar melts. Then take it off the heat. Add the rest of the heavy cream, the milk, and the vanilla. Stir everything together and put it in the fridge to cool.
When it’s cold and you're ready to make the ice cream, take out the vanilla pod, stir the mix again, and pour it into your ice cream maker. Follow the instructions for your machine.
When it's done, put the ice cream into a container with a lid and freeze it until you're ready to eat!
