Next week, there is a very important event in our school. From October 6-10, Millburn Middle School is in the Week of Respect. This weekly event's purpose is to try and spread the message of appreciating everyone. This year, the theme is Words Matter. Peer leaders will convey the message that words can hurt, and respect to others and yourself in study hall lessons on Monday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 8th for 6th graders. They will use an activity to engage students and then have a reflection at the end. WAVE and CORE 8 peer leaders will be leading this event, with theme days every day next week, with corresponding clothes or outfits to wear. Schoolwide, this will be a time to learn and exert leadership qualities while showing school spirit.
