The Powderpuff games are some of the most exciting fundraisers of the year! They are organized by the school, where girls can purchase a shirt to participate in the girls' flag football game, or people can pay to watch. It’s a wonderful fundraiser that helps raise money for future school events like prom and field trips. It’s also one of the most fun events, where each class tries to prove itself the best at flag football. This year, the games were competitive across grades. The freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors all battled each other in hopes of winning the championship. In the first game, the freshmen played the juniors. Then the sophomores played the seniors. For the championship, the winners of each game faced each other for bragging rights.
Below are the results for each game:
Juniors vs. Freshmen
Winner: Juniors
Score: 27–0
Seniors vs. Sophomores
Winner: Seniors
Score: 24–6
Final — Seniors vs. Juniors
Winner: Juniors
Score: 26–6
Shout-out to senior Samantha Correia, who scored the game-sealing touchdown against the sophomores to reach the finals! Alexa Rivera also had two great games, scoring three touchdowns per game and ultimately leading her team to victory in spectacular fashion. This was the first time in a while that a grade other than the seniors has won Powderpuff. Congratulations to the juniors for a spectacular win this year!
