Puffs is a play unlike any other at David Brearley. For seven years, a certain boy wizard who you may know (hint: this boy wizard has a scar on his forehead) attended a certain wizarding school and conquered evil. However, this story is not about him. Instead, it is about a group of students, the Puffs, who happened to be there for the same seven years as this boy wizard and who go through similar events, seen from their perspective. This play is a fantasy tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.
In the play , Wayne Hopkins (played by Joe Pizzaro) is a young boy who receives a letter from an owl because he has been admitted to wizarding school. While there, he is assigned to the house of the “Puffs,” who aren’t very well liked. Wayne meets two other Puffs who become his best friends: one is Oliver Rivers (played by Laurence Ioannou), a math nerd from New Jersey; the other is Megan Jones (played by Allison Church), a cold goth girl who wants nothing more than to make her mother proud and to be seen as more than a “stupid Puff.”
Puffs is filled with magic and enjoyment for all ages. The cast, crew, and directors have worked extremely hard to make this show as amazing as possible.
