Fall is an amazing time to sit back and relax as the weather cools. The leaves are falling and the breeze creates a perfect vibe for a movie. There are so many great fall films to watch during the season. Below are some movie recommendations depending on the types of movies you enjoy!
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving — This classic Thanksgiving special is for all ages. Peppermint Patty invites everyone to Charlie Brown's house for Thanksgiving, even though he's planning to visit his grandmother, so Snoopy decides to cook his version of a Thanksgiving meal with help from his friends. Peppermint Patty is not thrilled when she arrives and sees the food, causing conflict between her and Charlie Brown. Will Peppermint Patty learn the truth?
Instant Family — When Pete and Ellie decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster-care adoption. They hope to take in one younger child, but when they meet three siblings — including a rebellious 15-year-old girl — they find themselves going from 0 to 3 kids overnight. Now Pete and Ellie must learn the ins and outs of instant parenthood with their foster children. Instant Family is based on director Sean Anders's real experience of adopting three siblings from the foster-care system with his wife, Beth. While the movie takes creative liberties for humor and storytelling, many elements are inspired by their actual lives, including the chaos of their initial experience, the challenges of parenting three children at once, and the creative inspiration for the teen character Lizzy. If you love comedies, this movie is for you!
Clueless — An all-time favorite teen movie! The film is a modern parody of Jane Austen’s novel Emma. It follows Cher, a student at Beverly Hills High School who is an enthusiastic matchmaker. She sets out to find the perfect match for her new friend Tai, going so far as to give her a makeover. Her ex-stepbrother tries to warn her about what she's doing, but Cher is focused on making people happy. However, when Tai becomes more popular than Cher, Cher realizes he was right; she begins to fall for him and to question her own wants and desires.
These films are all great choices to watch this fall or during Thanksgiving break. They are appropriate for many ages and are fun for the whole family. Enjoy watching them this holiday season!
