Halloween Candies

It’s that time of year again when people dress up in silly costumes and say “trick or treat” until the clock strikes twelve. But the most important thing for every little boy and girl, and even for my teenage self, is the candy. Ranging from Sour Patch to M&M’s, and even those Halloween pretzels you can only get once a year, Halloween truly has it all. Now, for the ultimate reveal: the best Halloween candies!
Pop Rocks have been around since 1975, providing lifelong fun and excitement for all ages and nationalities. The small, hard candies crackle in your mouth and sizzle until you decide to swallow them whole. The candy is made by mixing sugars, corn syrup, and flavoring, which traps carbon dioxide gas inside. When the gas escapes, it creates a sizzling sensation on your tongue and also produces a popping sound. There is truly no other candy like Pop Rocks; it is unique and exciting, especially when trying it for the first time.
Coming in small bags, Sour Patch Watermelon is the highlight of my Halloween adventures. It is a candy shaped like a watermelon slice, with a sour sugar coating on top and a chewy texture on the inside. For me, it is the best because first they are sour, then they are sweet, which gives it that range of flavors. The watermelon flavor stands out from the rest because all the slices have that same delicious taste, unlike the original version, where each piece tastes different.
Last but not least, another popular and delicious candy that brings excitement to the Halloween season is Starburst. Starburst are soft and chewy fruit-flavored candies that come in different flavors and colors. For example, the pink one is strawberry, the red is cherry, the yellow is lemon, and so on. So, every time you open a package of Starburst, you never know which flavor you might get—your least favorite or your most preferred flavor. Additionally, each piece is individually wrapped, making it easy to share with family and friends.
Whether you score something chewy or crunchy, your sweet tooth should ultimately be satisfied! Eat to your heart's content, but try not to end up at the dentist's office. Happy Halloween!
