On October 2, 2025, the Brearley independent gymnasts, alongside Union and Dayton, competed at a home meet against Union Catholic. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this meet was a pink-themed event organized to raise money for Susan G. Komen, an organization that focuses on breast cancer research and finding a cure.
At Union-Brearley-Dayton’s (UBD) pink meet, the gymnasts were decked out in pink attire, from simple pink ribbons to full-blown hot pink tutus. However, this meet was not just an excuse to wear pink; it was a fundraiser for breast cancer research, where $196 was raised for the Susan G. Komen organization. Brearley gymnasts Sierra Allende, Mackenzie Pierce, and Peyton Howard competed at this meet and performed well in their respective events. Sierra Allende stood out on the beam with a score of 8.5. Mackenzie Pierce had a high point on vault with a score of 8.6. Although Peyton Howard only competed in vault at this meet, she scored well nevertheless. As this was the last home meet of the season, Brearley seniors Sierra Allende and Mackenzie Pierce were celebrated at the conclusion of the meet. The meet ended in a win for Union Catholic, with a score of 102.55, followed by Union with a score of 70.85.
Come out and support Brearley gymnastics at their senior night on October 21, away at Summit.
