After their 2025 season, the Brearley boys soccer team finished 8–7, with several powerful wins. In conference play they went 3–3 in the UCC — Valley Division. Below are some highlights from their season.
The Bears recorded a 4–1 victory over Governor Livingston on Saturday, October 11, at home, and did so in impressive fashion. The game had an unfortunate start, with a goal for G.L. in the 15th minute. Soon after, Matthew Rebelo assisted Lucas Ferreira, who scored in the 25th minute of the first half. That goal shifted the momentum for the rest of the game: Guilherme Santos Silva scored twice in the second half, and Lucas Ferreira added another goal in the 50th minute. Goalie Anthony Capra also had a strong game, making eight saves and helping the Bears secure the big conference win.
Another close but fortunate match for the Bears was on October 23 against Caldwell, at home. They won 1–0 on a goal by Guilherme Santos Silva in the 55th minute of the second half, assisted by his brother Lucas Santos Silva.
As we look back on the season — with both its highs and lows — it reflected the boys’ hard work, effort, and commitment to the team. Be sure to congratulate them on their season and come support them next year!
