World Geography is a semester-long course focused on the relationships among people, places, and environments that result in geographic patterns on the earth and examines the basic concepts and processes that shape human geography. Global and local patterns of population, migration, environmental resources, globalization, as well as cooperation and conflict are surveyed and the factors influencing these patterns are discussed. Students will use geographic tools as well as primary and secondary resources to analyze Earth's human systems and physical features to investigate and evaluate relationships between them.
