The Publications Department at Columbine High School is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to learn and implement good journalistic practices while developing into ethical scholastic journalists. We value exercising our constitutional rights and freedoms while exploring the changing world of multi-media journalism. Publications students will publish real-world products utilized by the entire Columbine community: the school’s website, Rebel News Network, The Rebellion, and Rebelations. Students will learn how to use industry-standard publications programs Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, gain experience with digital photography using Canon Rebel SLR cameras, and work with professional-grade video production programs. Publications students need to be self-motivated, reliable, and passionate about creating publications that are representative of our students, our school, and our community. We are the voice of Columbine.
