This full year course reviews and extends algebraic concepts for students that have already taken Algebra 2. This class will prepare students for a college Calculus Sequence. All students should be able to complete fundamental problem solving using: Function Notation and Transformations, Linear Equations graphing and solving, Quadratic equations graphs and solutions, Polynomial graphs and Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, Rational Function graphs, Exponential and Logarithmic graphs and equation solving. Systems of linear equations will be used to solve applications. All students will be proficient at data analysis and graphical problem solving using the TI-84 Plus CE Calculator which is required for this course.
In addition, the cost is approximately $308 for this 4-credit college course. Credits may be transferable, but it is highly recommended that students contact their intended college/university to verify this. CHS cannot guarantee transfer of credits to out of state colleges. The payment for the course is due second semester to CU. The grade given to CU is the average of first semester and second semester grades. Students must be enrolled the entire school year to be eligible to earn credit from CU.
