0.5 Credit: One Semester
Grade(s): 10, 11, 12

This course focuses on the craft of the actor. Students work to develop character, relationships and objectives through scripted and non-scripted work. Students may apply the theory of Stanislavski to their study to achieve modern realism present on stage and in film. Coursework may include monologues, duet scenes, group scenes, and various acting activities to discover character, voice, and movement.
Performance & Communications A introduces students to methods of performance and performance-dependent careers. Though performance is a significant part of this course, further topics include financial awareness, promotion and marketing, and management and leadership.
