Forensic Science is designed to be a general introduction into the various disciplines used in modern crime scene investigation. Throughout the semester, students will apply skills such as creating a DNA profile, lifting and analyzing fingerprints, investigating forensic psychology, calculating bullet trajectories, and determining the angle of impact of blood spatter. Students will analyze real world cases to draw relevant connections to the course curriculum. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to collect and process evidence from a crime scene using a variety of scientific methods.
This course may be applied towards a STEM Endorsed Diploma.
