The purpose of Interior Design I- Residential and Commercial is to expose students to various aspects of the interior design industry and is based on the industry’s professional standards (Council of Interior Design Accreditation-CIDA). The first semester focuses on residential design. Students integrate knowledge, skills and practices to evaluate potential career opportunities. Areas of focus include: Introduction to Residential and Commercial Design; Design Drawings; Professional Practices/Education; Design Elements and Principles; and the Design Process.
