Biology is designed to provide information regarding the fundamental concepts of life and life processes. These courses include (but are not restricted to) such topics as cell structure and function, general plant and animal physiology, genetics, and taxonomy. Science courses are required to follow 2020 Colorado Academic Standards which ensure equal emphasis on Science and Engineering Practices, Cross Cutting concepts, and Disciplinary Core Ideas. Students will experience an anchored inquiry model of instruction.
This course may be applied towards a STEM Endorsed Diploma.
