🏠 Home School Partnership Learning
St Andrew’s Day (30th November) is a time when Scotland celebrates its history, traditions and people.
St Andrew is known for kindness, fairness and helping others — values that link closely with our children’s rights.
With someone at home, work together to think of three acts of kindness you could do this week. These should be things that help, support or brighten someone’s day. They don’t need to be big — small actions can make a big difference.
Here are some ideas to inspire you:
✨ Help at home — tidy a room, set the table or offer to help without being asked
✨ Be a friend — include someone new in your game or share something special
✨ Give time — read together, play a game, bake or go for a walk
✨ Care for your world — pick up litter safely, recycle, switch off lights, save water
Once you’ve chosen your three acts of kindness, try to complete them over the week. At the end, talk about:
• How did your actions make others feel?
• How did you feel after showing kindness?
• Why is kindness important in our school, families and wider community?
