Happy Friday everyone,

We have had a very positive week with a number of additional activities taking place.

Kirking of The Council

Central School enjoyed participating in the Kirking of the Council on Sunday.  Thank you to those P7 children who volunteered, Mr McRoberts and Mrs Fraser for attending.

RAF

On Monday the RAF visited the school and undertook robotics workshops with P4-P7. Children were challenged to modify/design robots and completed a range of challenges.  Great fun was had by all.

Whole School Walk

The whole school walk on Wednesday was enjoyed by all and we were so lucky with the weather.  It was so lovely to see so many families from our community joining us.

Basketball

Parents Appointments

All children have gone home with a parents appointment slip for completion and return on Wednesday 18th September.  The dates are 24th September 3:30 – 6pm and Thursday 26th September from 5:30 to 8pm.

Google Classroom

If you have not yet accessed your Google Classroom, please speak with the Class Teacher.  Information is shared regularly using this platform.

Behaviour of All

As a school we strive to ensure behaviour is of a high standard for all.  When things are tricky for others we support individuals to make positive choices and trust parents can support us with this.   I wish to remind all parents that they should not approach anybody else’s child with a reprimand. I wish also to remind parents to be respectful to members of staff who are doing their job.  If you have any concerns, contact your child’s teacher in the first instance, or ask for an appointment to see Mrs Fraser or Mrs MacLennan. 

Parent Council

The next parent council meeting will in the afternoon on October 4th.  The exact time will be confirmed next week.  We look forward to our new parent council members supporting the school to take forward our school improvement initiatives.

In-service days

Our next in-service days are Monday 16th September and Tuesday 17th September.  School is closed to all pupils.

Kidical Mass

Kidical Mass invite families on a bike ride to enjoy the new cycle lane on Riverside Way. All abilities are welcome for a fun and inclusive ride, with games in the park afterwards. The attached flyer provides more information on arrangements.
