Happy Friday everyone,
We have had a super start to the new school year.
The children have settled well into their new classes. The team have focused on establishing routines, revisiting rules and developing relationships across the class.
We held a welcome assembly on Wednesday with a focus on rights and responsibilities.
Home School Communication
Welcome letters from class teachers and termly overviews will be posted on google classroom in the next week or so.
Each class has now set up a new google classroom for this year.
Please check this frequently as we communicate with families through google classroom.
Each class has its own gmail. This information will be on the welcome letter/termly overview
We also have a website where we post regular updates of what’s happening with dates etc.
School Improvement
Our focus on Monday’s in-service was the school improvement priority of learning teaching and assessment. We had a really positive day.
This year we are working in earnest for our Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award. Mrs Gibb is taking the lead on this school improvement priority.
Our school improvement plan will be posted on our blog soon.
Parent Council
We look forward to our first parent council meeting this term where we can share our improvement priorities and seek parental views and engagement. Please let us know if you would like to join us. The wider our parental engagement is, the more improvements we can make together.
Swimming
Primary 7 started their 10 week block of swimming today.
Music
We look forward to Mrs Frederiksson returning to deliver music sessions for P4-7 on Tuesdays.
Dates to Remember
16th and 17th September - In-service days. School will be closed to all pupils
Wishing you a lovely, restful weekend
